About
My immersion into the realms of botanical medicine started during young and formative years. Raised in a household where both parents were healthcare professionals, our dinner table conversations revolved around case studies from the day. Healthy discourse engaging in philosophies on patient care was the norm. This early exposure laid the foundation for my deep-rooted passion and understanding of holistic approaches to health and wellness.
My connection and interest with plants started with a keen interest in food security for under resourced communities and regenerative agriculture as I traveled and worked on various farms and herbal gardens. I furthered my botanical education at the North American Institute of Herbal Medicine, obtaining certificates in Clinical Herbalism and Nutrition in 2012. After years of supporting clients one-on-one with their health goals, I transitioned to become an herbalist & manager at Rebecca’s Herbal Apothecary. In this role, my focus shifted from clinical diagnostic tools to an intuitive and holistic approach acknowledging the roles of science, tradition, intuition and experience. As an ethical herb buyer for the apothecary, I have developed a passion for forming relationships with small herb farms and exploring the complexities of sustainability as a culture of herbalism continues to grow.
Community herbalism is about caring for the WHOLE. The whole self, body, mind and spirit throughout all phases of life, and caring for the community of human and more than human relatives on the Earth. This is where plant, mineral and fungi medicine shine. Plant allies contain constituents that nourish and support physical body systems while also supporting us on emotional and soul levels. These medicines heal animals, heal other plants, nourish disturbed soil and humans and provide support throughout the earth.
As we transition through life’s seasons and cycles, we look to botanical medicine to provide ritual, presence and a touchstone for good health and great living. My focus is on building relationships and cultivating community for a sustainable and hopeful future. I envision a transformative path on Earth, a world where individuals tend to the garden they can touch, cultivating self-care and community healing through herbal medicine and a connection to land.
Plant medicine is not a step on the path to some ultimate destination of being whole or well. We are already well. We are already whole. Plants are here in part to create relationships with ourselves, with each other and with the land. To help us REMEMBER.

“We are in the process of a great remembering and bringing that knowledge back among people.
The knowledge hasn’t gone anywhere.
The land remembered.”
